THE COMPANY

Founded in 1989, Earnscliffe Strategy Group is recognized as a leader in government affairs and strategic communications. Our reputation for service excellence is our most important asset and we have built it by listening to, defining and fulfilling client needs for more than fifteen years.

We are one of the oldest independent government relations firms in Canada. Members of the Earnscliffe team have been providing effective public policy advice through seven Prime Ministers and changes of government. Our name refers to the home of Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald. *

In September 2004, Earnscliffe opened the doors of its British Columbia office, headquartered in Vancouver. In September 2006 the Toronto office opened expanding our range of services. Our west coast and Toronto teams have quickly become significant players in their respective government affairs markets.

We understand how governments work, and we believe in the importance of enduring and respectful relationships – with clients, officials and political leaders. We offer objective analysis and clear-eyed strategies to ensure that clients improve their profile and success with decision-makers. Our clients value this approach and many of our relationships are more than ten years old. The depth of our policy and political experience and our relationships around town are important to our clients.

Over the years, we have worked with organizations whose interests span Canada’s geography and the spectrum of economic and business activity. Our clients include globally innovative companies, universities, not-for-profit organizations as well as national and international trade and professional associations.

Responding to an increasingly complex world, Earnscliffe continues to seek creative solutions, improve our formula and get results for our clients.

 * Earnscliffe was the beloved home of Sir John A. MacDonald from 1883 until his death in 1891 and the stately old stone house still stands as the residence of the British High Commission today.
