Marcella Munro
Principal, B.C.

Marcella joined the Earnscliffe Strategy Group, British Columbia in January 2009, where she leads the strategic communications practice, providing clients with a range of services that includes crisis management counsel, media relations and media training. Marcella also ensures that strategic communications planning and media relations are an integral element of all of her client's public affairs plans, helping them synthesize their public messaging with their brand, public policy goals or thought leadership positions.

Prior to joining Earnscliffe, Marcella was the Media & Communications Manager for Cressey Development Group, one of British Columbia's largest real estate developers. At Cressey, Marcella managed the company's media relations needs, in terms of marketing and issues management, while working as editor for a luxury lifestyle magazine and producer for a viral video campaign.

Marcella previously acted as a national producer and reporter for CBC Television News, where she worked on a variety of programs, including CBC News: Sunday, Canada Now, The National, and Face to Face with Neil Macdonald. Marcella has worked as a communications consultant and staff person for a wide variety of corporate, political, and not-for-profit clients in both Ottawa and Vancouver.

Marcella has served as a communications strategist in both federal and provincial NDP war rooms. She was also the communications chair for Mayor Gregor Roberston and Vision Vancouver's successful 2008 campaign, and served as the communications director for their 2011 re-election effort. Outside of work, Marcella volunteers her services as the President of the Board of the Contemporary Art Gallery.

Marcella received an Honours B.A. in Political Science from Carleton University.
